THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible is inspired by God. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives. (2 Timothy 3:15—17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21).
-
GOD
We believe there is one true God who eternally exists as three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity). (Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
-
JESUS
He is the eternal Son of God.
He is fully God.
He experienced a virgin birth.
He led a sinless life.
He performed miracles.
He died on the cross for our sins.
He is the only way to Heaven.
He came back from the dead.
He sits next to God as our lawyer, friend, and Lord.
He is coming back to take His church to heaven.
-
SIN
We believe that every person is a sinner by nature and choice, and that sin has separated people from God and His purposes for their lives. (Romans 5:12—19).
-
SALVATION
We believe every person can have a restored relationship with God by repenting of sin, believing in Jesus, and submitting to His will for their life. Salvation is a gift from God and cannot be earned through our own efforts. (Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9)
-
BAPTISM & COMMUNION
We believe and practice two ordinances established by Jesus: (1) Water Baptism by immersion following salvation; (2) Holy Communion (the Lord’s Supper) as a joyful remembrance of Jesus’ suffering and death for our salvation. (Matthew 28:19; Luke 22:19-20)
-
THE BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a special experience following salvation that empowers believers for sharing the good news about salvation and serving Jesus.
