Celebrate our community members in recovery through worship and testimonies.
Monday, December 7 @ 7 - 8:30: First Responder Outreach
Deliver cookies & cards to first responders,
including the St. Charles County Ambulance District and local police departments.
Tuesday, December 8 @ 5 - 8p: Dinner for the Homeless
In partnership with First Step Back Home, prepare and serve dinner
for families who are homeless and living in a local motel.
Wednesday, December 9 @ 6 - 9p: Packing Homeless Care Kits
Come for our MDWK experience and help pack bags of socks, toiletries and other needed items to distribute
through local agencies to people experiencing homelessness. Donations of items are also needed.
Wednesday, December 9 @ 5:30 - 9:30p: Night of Hope
Show love to single parents and their children with special activities and gifts.
Volunteers are needed to provide childcare, serve refreshments and drive vans.
Thursday, December 10 @ 6p: Caroling
Spread Christmas cheer to shut-ins with socially-distanced caroling and poinsettias. Dates are also available to
sing at other activities and worship services.
Friday, December 11 @ 10a - 7p: Salvation Army Bell Ringing
Ring bells at the Hobby Lobby on Veteran’s Memorial Parkway to support
the local Salvation Army and its mission to serve underprivileged people.
The Salvation Army is limiting the number of people on each shift to 2 this year.
Saturday, December 12 @ 10 - 11:30a & 3 - 6p: Distribution of Homeless Care Kits & Blankets
Serve a meal and distribute blankets and care kits at homeless outreach organizations. In the morning, meet at church at 10a for prayer and instructions. Then go together to Youth In Need to deliver items to teens who are homeless. In the afternoon, meet at church at 3p and then head to The Salvation Army feeding center in St. Charles to deliver care kits and blankets and assist with serving the evening meal to individuals experiencing homelessness.
